I am so thrilled to be featured in the November 2020 issue of the Maryland Bar Journal as a lawyer who is practicing law on her own terms, and "Shaping the Future of Law and Well-Being"

"A new generation of attorneys is now emerging, and they are blazing new approaches to the practice of law. In addition, they are working to improve the overall profession by emphasizing the need for attorneys to take care of their own well-being. Their efforts focus on the attorney as a whole, and take into consideration physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual and occupational health. Many of them chronicle their efforts through social media, podcasts, and other outlets."

Who knew that sharing my thoughts and ideas and helping others create the lives they truly desire would be considered "trail blazing," but I'm thrilled that it is. I'm even more thrilled that the idea of wellness as part of a career is gaining traction. It only took a worldwide pandemic to bring this need into clear focus!

Of course, this approach to the practice of law applies to the practice of LIFE. As PEOPLE, no matter our profession, our lives are better when we consider ourselves "as a whole, and take into consideration physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual and occupational health."

No matter whether you practice law, or another profession or career, or whether your work is focused mostly on your family or volunteering, we can all benefit from "the Future of Well-Being."

In this magazine article, I am in great company, with nine other amazing female lawyers, and I am proud to be a part of the movement to help us all become more balanced, successful, and happy people.

You can read the entire issue here, with the feature starting on page 60. There's also a great article on avoiding burnout, titled "Your Body Holds the Secrets to Avoiding Burnout" on page 56.
