“Mind management as it relates to time management is two things – the way that we think about time, and how we talk to ourselves about time.” —  Jamie Spannhake

That's from my interview with Steve Fretzin for his podcast BE THAT LAWYER. We spent thirty minutes talking in depth about

  • Time management and mind mastery.

The Secrets to Effective Time Management and Mind Mastery

One of the most fun benefits of publishing my book and sharing it with lots of people on social media and beyond is the opportunity to be a guest on the most amazing podcasts.

My most recent opportunity was my discussion with Steve Fretzin for his BE THAT LAWYER podcast

Who is Steve Fretzin? Steve is a three-time author, host of BE THAT LAWYER Podcast, and top business development coach and trainer for ambitious attorneys.

For the past 16-years, he’s helped hundreds of attorneys to double or triple their books of business through highly engaging programs created specifically for attorneys. Steve’s goal every day is to help his clients to BE THAT LAWYER – confident, organized, and a skilled rainmaker.

I had a great time speaking with Steve about time management and mind mastery. Our discussion is geared toward lawyers, but it's not only for lawyers. The tools and techniques we discuss are helpful to anyone who has lots to do and not enough time.

One of my favorite parts of the podcast episode is the end where he asks me questions about where I live, in Washington, CT. It was fun to share what I love about my town!

The Key Takeaways from my Podcast Interview with Steve

  • -Time management is always clearer when we know what our values are – we always want to spend the most time on what we believe is the most important.
  • -Lawyering is all about problem solving, which is creative. The only way to be creative is to have downtime.
  • -If you feel like you are failing it is because you have too much stuff on your plate.
  • -Time tracking is a great way to find out what you are doing that is below your pay grade and where you could be better utilizing your limited time.

One of my favorite things to do is talk to others and share helpful tools and techniques for effective time management and mind management strategies. Here's some of the other podcasts on which I've been a guest.
