Double down or pivot?

During this challenging time, I’ve been thinking about how it’s a really good time for self-reflection. It’s a good opportunity as we slow down, whether we wanted to or not, to reflect on our lives and our careers and where we are. It’s an opportunity to assess whether we want to make changes or if we want to double down on our path and stay the course. One of the best ways to do that is through questions – asking ourselves questions – and thinking about, for example:

What did you like to do as a child?

What were some of your happiest moments in life?

Who would you spend your ideal day with, and what would you do?

What brings you joy?

Lots of thoughtful questions. Answering those questions can help us get in touch with ourselves and our hearts. They help us identify what brings us joy in life, and what we want out of life. During this pause in the world and in our lives – whether we are viewing the pause as a good thing or a bad thing – it’s an opportunity to stay the course and become more committed to that course, or to pivot and make a change.

As I was thinking about the kinds of questions that are useful when we are determining if we want to stay the course, or if we want to make a change, and what that change might be if we decide we want to make a change, I realized that I have those questions written out already in my Thought Book.

My Thought Book is available on my website. It contains 45 questions that really help you self-reflect and identify what’s important to you. It will help you know which way you want to go in your life. Normally I sell the Thought Book on my website. But during these difficult times, I really want to share it with everyone complimentary. So, click through in the link below and enter your information and you’ll get an auto download of my Thought Book. It’s 45 questions; it’s about 48 pages with the cover and introductory page and everything. I invite you to work though the questions, write out your answers, draw them, meditate on them, reflect on them; whatever works best for you. I hope that it helps you manage your way through this challenge. Thanks for listening!
